The right to vote is a simple concept and a human right. Yet, people with disabilities are locked out of democracy, prohibited from exercising their political rights in many parts of the world. Our initial campaign objective was met on 17 December 2011, when the Venice Commission (an influential group of constitutional law experts) decided to fully support universal suffrage for people with disabilities! We are now ready to take this campaign to the domestic level to change laws which continue to lock people with disabilities out of the democratic sphere. Click on the FAQs for more information.
